He Said: Love & Sex & Magick

NOTE: you can read Jeannie’s take on this here: She Said: Love & Sex & Magick

Jeannie and I decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day a night late so we could book a hotel for Friday (rather than Thursday) and make a romantic overnight of it. We didn’t make other plans around the evening, just that we’d bring in a bunch of appetizing items to snack on, a couple of bottles of wine, and basically stay in the room from check-in to check-out. We set our mutual desire to be really intimate and connected, with the intention of that leading to lots of terrific sex.

It was all that and more! Including magick…

I planned one small surprise for Jeannie – which was my first magick spell. In anticipation of Valentine’s Day, The Alchemist’s Kitchen sent a newsletter that included a spell for The Lover and The Loved. I was really intrigued by the spell and had already been curious about witchcraft and magick, so I decided to give it a try. (Oh, and if you are of the belief that witchcraft cannot be conducted by men, read this article.)

I gathered all the items for the spell and secretly packed these away for the hotel. The spell instructions, and the spell itself, were stored on my phone so I could pull up the notes when we were ready. I was able to modify the affirmation and spell to contain both of us even though the spell was written for one.

At the hotel I quietly set out the altar for the spell as you can see in the photo above. I first saged the room to clear the space and to set our sexy and loving intentions for the overnight. Then I took Jeannie through the setup for the spell, including why this was the perfect night for this spell (Friday = Venus, goddess of love, in power; Waxing Gibbous = moon throwing off abundance). Next, we carved the candles, anointed them, and read the affirmation. Finally, we joined in casting the spell together.

Not long after casting the spell we were on the bed and mostly naked. We were touching and kissing – it was very intimate, but it wasn’t anything terribly intense. Then I began some tantric breathing which I was doing mostly for myself. Part of tantric breathing is to create a connection between all the power centers in your body. And that alignment creates a steady resonance that enhances focus. Ultimately, enhanced focus and energy can lead to increased sexual intensity.

She began moaning before I even touched her.

Jeannie began to react to my tantric energy almost immediately. And while I wasn’t doing this to excite and stimulate her, I knew that it could. So I doubled down on the breathing, began vocalizing my energy even more, and continued to gently touch Jeannie’s body. I could see her body resonating with my energy and I could hear her sexual pleasure. I then reached down and cupped her pussy, but that was all the contact that I made  – no explicit fingering or clitoral stimulation.

Then she suddenly climaxed from basically nothing but tantric energy!

And then, it happened… Jeannie’s vocalizations turned into impassioned screams and she climaxed! It was an intense and powerful moment for both of us and neither had ever experienced this before.

Throughout the hotel stay, Jeannie experienced several orgasms and “after-shocks” (as she called them) just from breathing and energy, not from touch. And when we did touch, the energy continued to drive our intimacy and, well, it was intense, absolutely blissful and a bit otherworldly!

While I cannot connect what we did directly to the spell, I’m very sure that the spell created the container we needed for this energy flow. And the spell also created a direct connection that that universal energy that is always there, always around us, just waiting to be used.

Give it a try sometime – if you embrace what the universe can offer with no pretense or judgment, the universe can and will provide you with amazing power and amazing things. Another example? We conjured a late check-out for 3pm after being told it was unlikely and this allowed us a 22-hour stay in the room. We took advantage of every minute of it!
